Special Events / Construction Parking Information
The Winnipeg Parking Authority is happy to provide parking support for film shoots, special public events, special private events, and other alternative uses of parking space.
If your event or activity requires the use of a parking lot or parkade spaces, give us a call directly at 311. Pricing for use of parking spaces in surface parking lots or parkades can be found in the WPA fees and charges schedule.
If your event or activity (including construction/demolition activities) requires use of on-street parking spaces, please call the Public Works Department Permits Branch at 311 to obtain a Use of Street permit. After receiving approval and paying for the use of street permit, the WPA, in most instances, will be required to collar the pay equipment. Pricing for parking closures can be found within the WPA fees and charges schedule.
If your event requires a number of City resources or services, please call the Film and Cultural Affairs office at 311.
